Only Watch was postponed from the Fall of last year after questions were raised about how the $100 million raised since the project began has been spent.

A number of brands withdrew their unique, one-of-one, watches, including Audemars Piguet at the time, insisting on a proper audit of the charity’s spending.

Patek Philippe had not revealed its contribution to the auction at the time it was postponed, and appeared to hold the fate of the sale in its hands as pressure to postpone grew.

Audemars Piguet is not in the new line-up of 47 watches that cross the block on May 10, but Patek Philippe is participating and has unveiled its contribution, a Grande and Petite Sonnerie, Minute Repeater, ref. 6301A-010, in steel.

The unique watch has a hand-guilloched swirling pattern engraved into its dial and protected under grand feu blue green enamel.

The face is set with 12 baguette-cut diamonds for hour markers.

It goes to auction with an estimate of CHF 1,500,000 to CHF 1,800,000.

It has a sapphire crystal case back with the inscription “Only Watch 2024” and will be sold on a patinated blue green alligator leather strap.

Patek Philippe’s Grande and Petite Sonnerie, Minute Repeater is currently made with a 44.8 mm platinum case and monochrome black and white dial.

The model uses a manually wound caliber GS 36-750 PS IRM movement with Grande and Petite Sonnerie and a Minute Repeater chiming on three classic gongs.

The movement has two patented innovations linked to the striking mechanism and the jumping small seconds mechanism.
