Final call for Watches of the Year nominations

The nominations process for Watches of the Year 2015 will close next Wednesday 30 September.

The fifth annual Watches of the Year has generated more interest than ever before, with a record number of watches being put forward for consideration, and votes being cast by the biggest retailers in the country.

"We are asking you, the readers of WatchPro, whether you represent a brand, retailer or distributor, to nominate the strongest watches that you’ve seen this year," said WatchPro’s editor, James Buttery.

He continued: “Watches of the Year is the most concise representation of the best new watch models we’ve seen throughout the year and sifting through your nominations to create the shortlist is, hands down, the exercise I most look forward to each year."

“Strong design and manufacturing is usually immediately apparent, but by publishing in November – long after Baselworld – we have plenty of time to consider the commercial potential of each watch as well. It is also perhaps the only list of its kind in the world that pits watches at all price points against each other; you will see haute horology alongside ‘haute’ volume.”

The 2015 categories are Luxury Watch of the Year, Fashion Watch of the Year, Trendsetting Watch of the Year, Sports Watch of the Year, Quartz Watch of the Year, Mechanical Watch of the Year, Women’s Watch of the Year, Smart watch of the Year, Showstopping Watch of the Year and Rising Star of the Year.

Please send nominations to James.Buttery@itppromedia.com using the nomination form here.

The winners will be announced in November’s WatchPro.
